Orthopedic Physical Therapy

At Core Wellness Physical Therapy, orthopedic care is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities you love without pain. We take a one-on-one, individualized approach to treatment, looking at the whole body to understand the root cause of symptoms rather than only treating the area that hurts.

We commonly help patients experiencing:

  • Neck and back pain

  • Hip pain and labral issues

  • Knee pain, including runner’s knee and patellofemoral pain

  • Shoulder pain, rotator cuff injuries, and instability

  • Foot and ankle pain, including plantar fasciitis

  • Joint stiffness and mobility limitations

  • Muscle strains and overuse injuries

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Chronic pain or recurring injuries

Treatment may include hands-on manual therapy, guided exercise, movement retraining, dry needling, and personalized strength and mobility programs. Our goal is to help you feel confident in your body again — not just for today, but long-term.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy FAQs

What conditions do you treat with orthopedic physical therapy?

We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, hip and knee pain, sports injuries, tendonitis, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. Our goal is to identify the root cause of your symptoms and create a treatment plan that helps you move and feel better long-term.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to start physical therapy?

In most cases, you can begin physical therapy without a referral thanks to direct access laws. However, some insurance plans may still require a referral for reimbursement. If you’re unsure, we are happy to help you check your benefits.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation where we discuss your symptoms, health history, goals, and lifestyle. We then perform a movement assessment and create a personalized treatment plan. Many patients also begin treatment during their first session.

How long will my appointments last?

Initial evaluations typically last 60 minutes. Follow-up treatment sessions generally last 45–60 minutes depending on your plan of care.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on the condition, severity of symptoms, and your personal goals. Some patients improve in just a few visits, while others benefit from a longer treatment plan. We aim to restore function efficiently and equip you with tools to maintain your progress.

Will physical therapy be painful?

While some treatments may involve mild discomfort, therapy should never feel overwhelming or harmful. We work within your tolerance and prioritize safe, effective progress.
